The Kiwanis Club of Mill Hall
The kiwanis Club of Mill Hall was chartered on September 13, 1951. The Kiwanis Club of Lock Haven was the sponsor of our club. In the last 58 years the club has conducted its meetings in and around the Mill Hall area.
The Kiwanis Club of Mill Hall looks outward as well as inward. It reaches out to attract members from the greater Mill Hall community which includes Nittany, Bald Eagle, and Sugar Valleys. Inwardly, it offers its members personal growth through hearty fellowship and teamwork, plus the benefits of many strong friendships, and it turns outward again to deliver an extensive program of civic and benevolent services. It is an outstanding example of comradeship and volunteerism in action.
The club membership includes those in a wide range of occupations and age groups. Thus it offers the new menbers an opportunity to become personally acquanited with people of good standing in many vocations, with varied backgrounds and experience. The Kiwanis Club of Mill Hall is a thriving organization of service-minded men and wemen who respond to the unique needs of the Pennsylvania District and International Kiwanis by supporting District and International projects. Our local Kiwanis club select service projects we feel need our attention. We are all local people that volunteer our time and talents to make our community a better place to live. We, like you, are busy with making a living, church, family, and many other activities. We, however, have found that Kiwanis gives us not only a chance to give back to our community in a meaningful way, but we enjoy the fellowship, networking, and fun aspects as well.
Kiwanis offers a great opportunity to:
- Get involved in your community
- Make a difference in the lives of children
- Meet, work and socialize with other people in our community
- Help those in need in our community
- Build long lasting friendships
- To feel good about yourself and others
You are invited to join us as we eat a wonderful meal and afterwards attend our meeting any Thursday evening at 6:00 PM at the Aungst's Family Restaurant on Eagle Valley road Mill Hall. We hope you will be able to join us to learn more about our club. Please feel free to contact any member or email mhkiwanis@comcast.net.
